St. James of London Week Four Summary

St. James of London

At the end of the fourth week out of the six week shave project with St. James of London I want to talk about pre and post prep routine with the pre-shave oil and aftershave balm from the St. James of London line of shave products. It should be no surprise by now that I’m a huge fan of the shaving cream line from St. James of London. The bowl less and bowl needed shaving cream provide a great shave with an over abundance of lather. The shaving cream also provides a more than adequate slickness that prevents razor burn, cuts and nicks. The ingredients found in all of the shaving creams from St. James of London provide your Dome and face with extra hydration, vitamins and nutrients that increases the suppleness of your skin. Each shave with the shaving creams from St. James of London has been comfortable and soothing adding luxurious to the many positive attributes these products provide to your daily shave.

Lets talk pre and post prep products from St. James of London. I’m a big supporter of pre and post prep items. I feel as though a good pre and post prep shave routine is just as important as the shave itself. I know that not every shaver feels this way and that’s ok. Shaving is all about choices. I also feel as though a good pre and post prep routine adds value to your shave and long-term quality attributes the longer you continue to use a pre and post prep routine. If you decide that you want to add a pre and post prep regimen to your shaving routine there are a couple of factors to consider. First lets define what products make up a pre and post prep routine. The pre portion consist of a pre-shave oil or pre-shave soap and exfoliant. The post portion of the routine consist of an after shave splash and/or balm, a moisturizer and sometimes a stronger astringent if needed. The exfoliant can be both pre and post, or, either/or.

When shaving with the products from St. James of London it’s important to know that they have your pre and post prep shave routine covered as well. I have been using the pre-shave oil and after shave balm gel from St. James of London for some time now and I’m loving what these products have done for my skin. The Mandarin and patchouli pre-shave oil and Cedarwood & Clarysage after shave balm gel adds extra hydration and suppleness to the skin on your Dome and face. These products also increase the suppleness of your skin through ingredients such as Glycerin, Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba seed oil and sunflower seed oil.

Adding value to each shave is important. A good pre and post prep shave routine adds that value with qualities such as extra hydration for your skin. No matter what style of shaving you practice straight razor, DE razor, cartridge or all three, it’s hard on your skin. The selected razor for your nightly shave does cause some irritation to some level. Even if you don’t feel it, it’s still there. A good pre and post prep shaving routine helps to combat the irritation no matter what level it is. There is a certain breed of shaver that never practices a pre and post prep shave routine because they don’t need it. They have no issues with irritation at all. To the other half of shavers including myself, a pre and post prep routine is vital to a good shave that turns into a fantastic shave. Let the pre and post prep shaving products from St. James of London be those products to turn each one of your shaves into fantastic on an every day basis. Love your products and you will love the results. Thank you and have a #Baldtastic day!
