These containers of shave soap are mighty!

Sometimes you get a great shave from a product when you least expect it. This great shave may or may not come from a flashy package or container. It may not come in  large or small container as well. Truth is, you never know when you’re going to stumble across the perfect product for what you might call the perfect shave. That’s what happened when I received my little round containers of shave soap from The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company. I found The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company while searching for shave soap on a popular social media site. John Brown the founder of The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company is a one man show. He’s devoted to bringing you the finest handmade shaving soap available. Johns soaps are handmade, vegan and cruelty free. After some friendly emails my package of small but mighty samples of shave soap were at my doorstep ready for use.

A big lather from a small container!

I didn’t know what to expect from the little round samples of shave soap from The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company. Johns soaps are all handmade from plant-based products including plant-based essential oils and extracts. Each little round container of shave soap has its own fragrance solely from the natural oils and extracts found in all Johns hand-made soaps. The fragrance of each soap is strong enough to make an impression during and after your shave, but light enough that it’s not over powering. Each sample of handmade shave soap from The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company comes in a little round sample container that contains 2-3 shaves. The shave soap is soft but not considered a shave cream. Take a small portion of soap out of the little round container and press it into the bottom of your shave bowl and start working your lather into the thick, rich and creamy lather that The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company provides every shave no matter what fragrance it is.

Each sample of shave soap from performed the same way. The only difference was the aroma from each sample. Each sample took very little product to provide a thick and rich creamy lather that filled my shave bowl from the bottom to the top. The creamy lather clung to my shave brush and applied evenly to my dome and face providing a great cushion with every glide of my razor. The slick surface provided by the soap from helps keep every shave as smooth as the first while making razor burn, cuts and scrapes a thing of the past. The shave soap from performed very well each time I used it. I was pleasantly surprised by the consistency and abundancy of lather. If you’re not a fan or user of The Los Angeles Shaving Soap company, after one use I’m sure you will be.
